Canada's Global TV has announced that Private Eyes will be coming to an end after its upcoming fifth season. The detective dramedy, which airs on ION Television in the US, will be wrapping up a successful run of 60 episodes that has resonated with audiences around the world.
The series stars Jason Priestley as former pro hockey player Matt Shade, who cuts his playing career short when he teams up with private investigator Angie Everett, working alongside her as a detective. The new partnership forces Matt to examine who he has become and who he wants to be while investigating high-stakes crimes. Together, the powerhouse duo challenge each other on the job and in their everyday lives.
The fifth and final season of Private Eyes will consist of eight episodes - its shortest run yet due to filming limitations caused by COVID-19. It will premiere for Canadian audiences on July 7.

So very sad Private Eyes is ending! We finally get a great Canadian show and it ends, come on guys... come on Jason Priestly and Cindy Sampson and cast... talk the producers into renewing this show!

Another nice show cancelled .. it has humor and no swearing .. great viewing for the whole family .. please read all our comments on this show and reconsider your decision to cancel it!!!

What a shame once again a good show and now it is ending. Have some sense and extend it bong give us some useless reality show.

I am in disbelief that Private Eyes will be ending. If the lead actors want to go on to something else I could understand. However, that is not the impression I am getting. Someone else should pick them up. This is an excellent show which provides great entertainment. I am not happy about this decision

Why is it that the really excellent shows get cancelled. I have enjoyed watching every episode since the start. Great actors, fine plot lines. I’ll missed it.

What a horrible decision to end this show. And to only give it 8 episodes is a really bad idea. The two lead actors are great and work so well together. So who's dumb decision was this to end the show?. Now we get to see more cheaply made reality shows instead. Just hope they do the series justice in the series finale. Never followed Cindy Sampson before this show and found out that she is such a very beautiful woman & a great actress. Wish all the actors a great career after the end to this show.

Sorry to hear that the Canadian series was cancelled. Have been following the show now since the beginning. What a disappointment.
I can't understand why this popular series was cancelled. Probably it will be replaced by another US series... what a shame.
